Flag Hill Distillery and Winery has a wonderful self guided vineyard tour that you can take part in at any time of day prior to sunset. (Please do note that Flag Hill is an operating wedding venue and to be mindful of this when making your plans ) To start your tour, drive or walk up to the main building and you will find a large map of each location you can visit, you can also grab a hand held one in the tasting room! Which speaking of tasting room, you owe it to yourself to stop in for a tasting during your stay! Make sure to stay the course and make it all the way to stop 18, where you will have a peaceful quiet moment at the back vineyard with a gorgeous view of the whole property and the river which wraps each of the properties. River Access can be found at the back side of Flag Hill, if you follow the waking tour you will find it at plaque #18. Feel free to take a dip in the river! Do be aware poison ivy is a lover of our area, so watch your step!

Driving Range If golf is your speed then you are in luck, there are two super local driving ranges. Twin Pines Driving Range is 1 mile up the road on route 125, and Fore on Four is within 5 miles on Route 4 in Lee.

Rockingham Railtrails Crossing through wooded areas and featuring magnificent wetland vistas, the Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail (Fremont Branch) offers an 18.3-mile trail adventure from Epping to Windham. The northern section of this route has a dirt surface, but it is generally usable and enjoyable for mountain biking and hiking. Starting in Epping, the trail’s endpoint intersects the Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail (Portsmouth Branch), at Main Street; here, you can take the 28-mile trail east to Newfields or west to Manchester. Traveling south on the Fremont Branch from the Epping trailhead, you’ll immediately cross underneath SR 101 via a narrow but passable tunnel. The trail then continues through a delightful wooded section and passes by some farms.


 

Coppal House Farm - Farmers Market is a 78 acre farm just up the road from RiverCrest Villas. ( Take a right out of the property, stay straight at the fork and it will be on your left, Super simple! ) At Coppal House Farm you can partake in several super amazing, super New Hampshire activities like farmers markets, corn mazes in Fall and a wonderful yearly even the “Sunflower Festival” in late summer.

DeMerritt Hill Farm
- Orchard is a wonderful local orchard that is locally known for its apples along with  growing peaches, pumpkins, blueberries and nectarines. After spending some time apple picking on a crisp fall day be sure to check out some of their wonderful walking trails where you can learn more about how trees are harvested, possibly see beaver dams on the Oyster River or stumble upon a wild dinosaur on their kid friendly dinosaur trail. Wagon Hill Farm - Walking Trails is not actually a working farm anymore, but a beautiful, expansive 130 acre conservation property with walking trails around the forest, picnic seating around the Great Bay and a beautiful communal farm plot for locals. Full trail MAP

Downtown Exeter - Shopping, Dining + Walking Trails is a wonderful location to visit for a downtown stroll through dozens of local shops. Exeter is full of Revolutionary Era history which is visible by the historic homes, powder house and naval cannons.

Exeter Country Club is a fantastic easy 9 golf course located right in Epping, NH. With gold carts available this course is the perfect stop for a morning round with or without the family. If you are looking for an absolute beginner location for yourself or small children, “The Rock” Rockingham Country Club is also a great 9, where you will not need to worry quite so much about proper form.

Pawtuckaway State Park + Lake is 5,000 acres of preservation land with 32 miles of hiking trails. Fun Fact: Pawtuckaway mountains are a small rocky circular range that form the outline of an ancient Cretaceous Period volcanic ring.

Stratham Hill Park - Playground + Walking Trails
is a local town park with fields, playgrounds and walking trails. The park is also home to a 53’ fire tower with an open cab at 45’ that is open to public climbing for beautiful views of the Great Bay and the Atlantic Ocean on clear days.


 

Downtown Portsmouth - Shopping + Dining Portsmouth is a New Hampshire port city on the Piscataqua River. Notable 17th- and 18th-century houses include several within Strawbery Banke Museum, where costumed staff demonstrate traditional crafts.Prescott Park has riverside gardens and boat docks for picnic perfection, in the summer you can also attend local theatrical performances here . Market Square (downtown) is also full of many great locally owned shops and delicious restaurants.

Bear Brook State Park is a 10,000 acre state park, hiking, biking, archery, swimming and fishing are a few of the outdoor activities you can do at the park. Forty miles of trails through the heavily forested park, leading to seldom visited marshes, bogs, summits and ponds, offer a variety of options for hikers, mountain bikers

Kancamagus Highway  is the scenic eastern strip of the New Hampshire Route 112 and is popular for long drives. This road strip stretches through the White Mountain National Forest for 32 miles, along the banks of the river Swift. The path is flanked by tall coniferous trees with the river flowing softly on one side and bluish mountains yonder. In spring, the trees wear a fresh look, but during autumn the landscape breaks into myriad shades of yellow, orange, red and brown, bathing the entire region in breathtaking natural beauty. The river bed contains plenty of rocks and pure white sand and one can see numerous waterfalls and bridges while driving through this path. Their Website HERE.

North Conway Village is set amid mountains and forest, North Conway is a jumping-off point for hiking excursions on Mt. Washington and fall leaf-viewing tours on vintage trains, as well as visits to Diana’s Baths cascades. The downtown center is full of many boutique stores for all shopping needs from outdoor recreation, jewlery, candles and a favorite stop by visitors for decades “Zebs Country Store”. North Conway is also home to Settlers Green Outlet, which houses stores by Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Coach, and many more.


Lake Winnipesaukee
is the largest lake in the U.S. state of New Hampshire, located in the Lakes Region at the foothills of the White Mountains. Alton Town Beach is a medium sized swimming beach that includes restrooms and parking. It sits on the southeastern end of Lake Winnipesaukee and is raised from the water. There are picnic tables to sit at and a shaded area to cool off from the hot sun. The lakes area is also home to many amazing hiking excursions.
